Assemblage and Mixed Media Painting

Picture
"Kronus", 2010, Acrylic painting on stretched shirt with collage and shark jawbone
This type of work, whether it is representational, abstract or non-objective, should resonate with the struggle and energy of its creation. What is discovered by me in this should open similar paths in the viewers, eliciting an emotional and instinctive response that I hope function as something like a wordless revelation.

My choices in medium and under-girding subject matter are contingent upon what I am feeling and working out mentally and emotionally at that time and allowing myself to be open to what is being presented to me as chance occurrence by the universe or as the results of deliberate actions on my part.
